Like the other knives in this range the 6.4cm part-serrated blade on this knife has a Bear Grylls signature laser etched onto the side. Instead of the thumb studs, the Compact Scout has a nail nick on either side as the thumb studs may catch in your pocket when you are taking the knife out or putting it away. The blade also has finger notches so that your thumb doesn’t slip off the back of the blade when you are using the knife and need to add some pressure. The blade of this knife uses the solid lock-back mechanism as it is the safest way to lock your knife open.
